1) God's stern rebuke of power

Old Testament prophets openly confronting religious and political leaders
A great deal of the Old Testament prophets' message is sharp rebuke aimed at religious leaders and kings. Even King David was confronted through a prophet and corrected himself. God always openly criticized corrupt power.

2) The Ridda Wars and the monopoly on revelation

The "Seal of the Prophets" doctrine used to shut down any new revelation
As soon as Muhammad died, figures claiming to be new prophets appeared all over Arabia. Tribes broke away, saying "Muhammad is dead, so our obligations are over," and declared they would follow new revelations. The first caliph, Abu Bakr, eliminated them all militarily. These were the Ridda Wars (632–634). From then on, the weapon leaders wielded was the doctrine of the "Seal": Muhammad is the final prophet, and after him no new revelation exists. No more revelation from God. In practice, it was a declaration of power that shut out rivals and completely blocked God's living intervention.

3) Cut off from heaven, sects fall into civil war

A struggle for legitimacy among interpreters in a land where God's rebuke fell silent
Claiming new revelation could cost you your life. With communication from heaven cut off, each leader insisted that only his interpretation was orthodox, and they clashed. In the land where God's rebuke fell silent, the people groan under endless civil war and conflict.
According to Islamic tradition such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad is reported to have referred to himself several times as the last prophet.

Conclusion: God locked in a book, and the tragedy of the people

Blocking revelation to protect vested interests, and the lasting damage to the community
In this reading, leaders locked God inside a book and protected their own privilege. Shutting God's mouth blocked His living intervention, and the whole community has paid the price. The tragedy of innocent people bleeding continues today.
