An Easy Way to Heal Your "Incurable" Illness
Why Illness Keeps Coming Back: Habits and Choices
Like using only calls and texts on a smartphone — the healing power we never use
In life we're sometimes sick and sometimes healthy, but some of us stay sick. The reasons vary. We don't eat what we should and eat what we shouldn't. We skip the exercise we need and mostly do the things we shouldn't. Wouldn't it be great if we could just say, "Sickness, be gone!" like magic? Did you know that's actually possible? Don't you feel sorry for people who own a smartphone with thousands of features and only use it for calls and texts? Did you know that's exactly us?
Where Sickness and Pain Came From: A Biblical View
The fall of humanity, the wages of sin, and the power of the cross
We've been given power to heal sickness, but we don't know how to use it and we don't use it. Today I want to wake up the power you already have. Knowledge is power. Sickness came to humanity through the fall of Adam and Eve — the pride of eating the forbidden fruit to become like God. God is love, but He is also a very strict "Judge." His law book says, "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23): if sin is committed, someone must die for the law to be upheld. But Jesus came and died on the cross for our sins, so those who believe have been set free from the curse. Here's the key point: this isn't someone else's story. It's not "What does Jesus dying have to do with me?" It matters enormously.
What the Scriptures Say: The Basis for Healing
Spiritual and physical confirmation that He bore our diseases — and Matthew's clear statement
Isaiah foresaw exactly that kind of thinking. Isaiah 53:4: "Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted." 1 Peter 2:24 (confirming spiritual and physical restoration): "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." Being healed means being healed of sickness. "Isn't that only about the soul reviving and our relationship with God being restored?" No. Look at the next verse. The strongest basis is Matthew 8:17: "This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: 'He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.'"
Freedom from the Curse: A Wider View of Lack in Life
The redemptive meaning of poverty and lack, and provision for our calling
It's written plainly, isn't it? He bore our diseases. There's no other way to read it. Second, freedom from life's curses (Galatians 3:13): "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.'" There's more. Jesus living poor on earth, with nowhere to lay his head, means he carried the curse of economic pain and lack in our place. Just as "by his wounds you are healed" is the basis for healing from disease, this verse is the basis for our spiritual right to break free from inherited poverty and cycles of lack. The goal isn't just living well yourself but reaching a state where you can help others (abundance). The Bible isn't talking about striking it rich so you can live in luxury alone — it's about "daily bread" and enough provision to carry out your calling.
Putting It into Practice: Confess and Repeat
Imprinting the subconscious through spiritual declaration, and the creative power of words
Now for the practical part of healing. Theory and practice are different. Like driving or dancing, it doesn't work at first, but with repetition you get good at it. 1) A prison door opens only when the judge declares the verdict out loud: "The defendant is not guilty!" Even though Jesus already paid the full price by being whipped, if you don't say, "That's mine! I have been healed!" the right just sits asleep in the spiritual world. As you keep saying it, a conviction takes root in your subconscious: "Oh right, my price has already been paid." 2) Words carry creative energy. Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death." If you keep saying, "Because Jesus was whipped, my sickness is healed and my life is restored!" your brain, your cells and the spiritual environment around you begin to rearrange themselves to match that "sound of faith."
The Process of Recovery: Gradual Change, Not Instant Results
The many ways healing shows up in a life of steady prayer
Rather than being healed instantly as with Jesus, if you keep praying and praising until you're healed, sometimes healing comes suddenly, sometimes God gives you ideas about diet or supplements, sometimes He gives you the motivation to exercise — the ways of healing are very diverse.
